The WWE sent tongues wagging amongst the wrestling faithful Wednesday when they sent out a cryptic tweet via their official account.

The Tweet

The message read as follows:

"Something is coming... Can you guess what? #WWETransformed," read the message alongside an image of a globe necklace with a piece of the world missing.

What could it mean?

In the hours that have followed WWE fans have taken to social media, YouTube, and wrestling forums in an attempt to decipher what Vince McMahon and co could have up their sleeves this time.

At present there are a few theories that are gaining the most traction.

First, many are suggesting that the tweet could be in reference to the WWE changing their logo - a rumor that has been doing the rounds on and off for some time now.

Those rumors became a near certain reality in recent days with reports suggesting that the WWE would debut a new logo following this summers SummerSlam pay-per-view event in mid August.

Another popular suggestion is that the WWE could be planning to expand its WWE Network beyond North America and into other global markets.

This has always been the plan for Vince McMahon and with recent financial strife affecting the organization the ability to attract new fans and new income from a host of wrestling-savvy countries would certainly be a timely boost.

What about Wyatt?

The eagle eyed amongst the WWE faithful however have been keen to argue that the cryptic clue, and in particular the broken world symbol, is in reference to popular heel Bray Wyatt.

The relatively new kid on the block, Wyatt was given the nickname the "Eater of Worlds" by the WWE and the moniker has stuck as the crazed wrestler has made his way up the wrestling hierarchy.

The image of a globe with a piece possibly 'bitten' out of it which accompanied the tweet would certainly fit therefore.

That still unfortunately does not explain exactly what Wyatt may have planned.

All that can really be deciphered by the Tweet is that the WWE has once again shown its ability to create intrigue and interest with the simplest of moves.

We will just have to wait and see what exactly is being "Transformed" in the coming days...
