Stoke City forward Peter Crouch can’t wait to join up with new signing Bojan Krkic, stating: ‘It’s a fantastic signing for us’.
Ex-Barcelona player Bojan secured his move to the Potters on Wednesday on a four-year deal and lanky striker Crouch was the first to express his delight at this signing.
"It's a fantastic signing for us, and he is a player that we are all looking forward to working with", the 33-year-old told his club's official site. "Like Marko Arnautovic and Stephen Ireland, he is another top quality creative player.
"We have maybe lacked players like those in recent seasons, so it is exciting to have a number of them here now."
Hughes brings a different style
Crouch, who himself bagged 10 goals in 38 appearances last season, like many other players has enjoyed the revolution under new manager Mark Hughes, seeing them play with a totally different style of play and mentality.
Increased amounts of passing play from the back and flair from the team made Stoke more exciting to watch last season.
Crouch looking to future
And after a great ninth-place finish last season, the England international thinks they can build on this with the addition of Spaniard Bojan.
He added: "Some of the football we played last season was fantastic – the game against Aston Villa immediately springs to mind – and with players like Bojan here now I'm sure that we will see more days like that."
Stoke are currently off on their pre-season tour of Germany, where the squad will meet up with Bojan and ready themselves for a new season, as they kick off against Aston Villa at the Britannia.
