Real Madrid's first game of the season is tonight, and there will be a few new players that will be playing in the match. As usual, the Spanish giants brought along some Castilla members to practice with them during the pre-season.
The lineup versus is reported to be: Diego Lopez(GK), Carvajal(RB), Pepe(CB), Nacho(CB), Diego Llorente(RB); Illaramendi(CM), Alvaro Medran(CM), Isco(CM); Lucas Vasquez(RW), Raul de Tomas(ST), Gareth Bale(LW).
B Team players
The members of Real Madrid B team that are starting or on the bench are Diego Llorente, Alvaro Medran, Lucas Vasquez, Raul de Tomas, Derik, Pacheco, Omar Mascarell, Marcos Llorente, and Ruben Sobrino. These players are very promising and some of them could break into the first team in the near future.
One player in particular has caught the eye of manager Carlo Ancelotti. Marcos Llorente has been playing very well in practice and could break into the first team squad by the start of the season.
His father, Francisco, played seven years at Real. Francisco's uncle was Paco Gento, the legend who scored 128 goals for Real Madrid. His playing style could be compared to Xabi Alonso. He is a deep lying playmaker with good speed for his height (6 feet tall). He is a very smart passer and is capable of orchestrating the offense.
I always enjoy watching popular teams give players from their B team a chance to impress and make it into the first team. Inter brought only one player from their youth team, George Puscas.
I hope that former Red Devil, Nemanja Vidic, makes his debut for Inter against Real Madrid. I believe this match will be a high scoring contest, with Madrid winning 4-2.
