Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed he has no issue with Wilfried Zaha, and says the young winger will be given an opportunity to prove himself at some point during pre-season.
No game time yet
Zaha is the only member of the Manchester United touring party not to have been given any time on the pitch in the USA, with the club having recorded victories over LA Galaxy and Roma in their two outings thus far.
This seems to have been a clear indication that Zaha, who spent a spell on loan with Cardiff last season having struggle under David Moyes, that the 21-year-old is not in the plans of a second successive Manchester United boss.
Van Gaal, though, rejects this assertion and claims Zaha has applied himself well in training and will get his chance at some point - with the former Netherlands coach stating the player may even operate as a central striker.
An opportunity up front?
“I have a lot of strikers. I have six. Maybe [Zaha] will play centre forward next,” Van Gaal told reporters.
“He has worked well in training. There is no problem.”

Zaha was the last signing made by Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager, joining from Crystal Palace for around £15 million, but has yet to make an impact of note following the completion of his move to Old Trafford.
The youngster made only four appearances under David Moyes before he was sent out on loan to Cardiff in January, but was unable to prevent the Welsh side from dropping out of the Premier League.
