Gareth Bale scores wondergoal in pre-season clash with Inter Milan

Gareth Bale has once again shown why there is oft a tear in the corner of the eye of Tottenham Hotspur fans when they see him in the white of Real Madrid and not White Hart Lane.

The Santiago Bernabeu club are one of a host of European giants embarking on pre-season tours in the US and los Blancos met up with Inter Milan for a friendly game in the International Champions Cup in California.

Berkeley’s California Memorial Stadium was the venue for the clash and Bale made sure it would be memorable after only ten minutes in, when he picked the ball up about half way and strode forward a few yards before unleashing an unstoppable left-footed drive from about 30 yards out.

Inter Milan fans must be fearful any time they see their team line up against the Welsh wizard as this was not the first time he had scored a wondergoal against the Nerazzuri.

Solo sensation

Few will forget the sensational hat-trick he bagged in the San Siro for Spurs in their solitary Champions League outing in the 2010/11 season. It was a glorious failure for them, but Bale scored a sensational solo goal to almost fire his side to an unlikely comeback.
