Derrick Rose injury update in the video above

Derrick Rose says that his confidence is sky high right now after two consecutive seasons ravaged by knee injuries.

The Chicago Bulls guard is currently with Team USA preparing for the World Cup of Basketball, which is set to take place in Spain in late August.

Many US stars have decided not to partake in the World Cup for a variety of reasons, but Derrick Rose is desperate to represent his country in Europe.

Awesome dunk

Rose is in great form at the US camp, and the video below shows him executing an excellent dunk.

High spirits

Fans might think that Rose is down in the dumps after having so much time out, but the Bulls star is in a great frame of mind regardless, and he says that his confidence is sky high.

"The pain I felt is in the past. Right now I'm in training camp with the USA team and hopefully I'll make it," Rose told reporters.

"I'm there man. My confidence is through the roof and that's something you're going to see this year."

Chicago Bulls fans may be worried about seeing their star turn out on an international stage with the fear of him getting injured yet again.

However, the most important thing for Derrick Rose right now is getting back to full match fitness, and an international tournament could just be the best tonic for Rose.
