San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has been teasing his twitter followers over the NFL player's appearance in a "short superhero action-comedy" and he finally revealed a little trailer of the much awaited film.
The film is the work of French Mustache who are a comedy production company, the NFL superstar has been enrolled as the central character to the comedy film as Davis fills the role of Captain Torpedo.
In the teaser trailer of the action-comedy film, Davis is being held captive whilst unable to move due to his weakness to seaweed, he is face to face with archenemy Shmokov, a Canadian-born warlord responsible for the callous slaughtering of Torpedo Boy.
The strange dialogue between the two only sets the tone for the rest of the film, Davis who is keen to show his range as an actor will bring the humour he is synonymously known with off the field for his role in the movie.
Davis is one of the most incredible athletes that the NFL can boast but is surely out of his comfort zone while stepping into the acting profession, he has kept his fans on their toes by teasing them with releases of Captain Torpedo.
There will hopefully be more updates on this intriguing and expectantly hilarious short film involving the tight end, we will keep our eyes on his twitter account for any more news.
Whilst Davis will currently be preparing for the new NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers, the franchise opened its doors to training camp much like the rest of the organisations around the NFL.
The real grind in the off-season and pre-season is underway, preparing every player including Davis for the long-hardened struggle that will be the 2014/15 NFL season.
