Although WrestleMania 31 is still months away plenty of rumours are going around about who could be facing who; one man who isn’t confirmed to compete as of yet is The Rock.

With The Rock having a hectic schedule as a Hollywood superstar his time in the squared circle is now limited than ever, sure he returned to face John Cena at back-to-back WrestleMania events but then he skipped out on WrestleMania XXX, appearing in the epic opening segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan.

However, The Rock hasn’t ruled out a match at WrestleMania 31 just yet, we know he has a film coming around at that time and would be required to take time off to do some media work, much like Dave Bautista has been doing with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, so the odds on him competing are 50-50.

But let’s just say The Rock decides to compete, The Great One will grace us with his presence on more and compete at WrestleMania 31; regardless of what fans believe about his love for the business, everyone will react.

If he does compete, which feuds make the most sense? Which matches will be the ones the fans want to pay to watch? Here are my five picks on who The Rock should face at WrestleMania 31, and no we don’t want a third bout between The Rock and John Cena as twice in a lifetime was more than enough.

#5 – Triple H

Triple H is probably the most hated man in the WWE right now, and that’s good. He’s the evil boss we are supposed to hate, he has screwed over Daniel Bryan, he ripped fans hearts out when he played an integral role in The Shield imploding and now he is just looking to put down anyone who stands in his way, pretty much everyone the fans love. The Rock is loved the most by the fans.

What better way than to relive an old Attitude Era feud by putting the two up against one another at WrestleMania 31, the ultimate face up against the current ultimate heel? It will divide camps and will keep the fans tuning in.

#4 – Randy Orton

Third generation superstar up against third generation superstar, granted The Rock is older and has been involved in one of the greatest eras so it’s a little unfair to say that both of their careers were parallel. Their rise to the top has been a little similar and they have both achieved everything possible in the WWE.

For this to work, Orton would need to dig deeper and bring out the legend killer, which legend can still compete? Which legend is a guaranteed hall of famer? The biggest name in Hollywood right now, the ones the fans react to every single time his music plays, one of the most loved superstars ever, The Rock. It makes sense, Orton could carry him in this match and come close to ending this legend.

#3 – Brock Lesnar

Another match which makes sense, we’ve only seen the pair face off once back at SummerSlam when Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock to become the youngest WWE Champion in history. Since then The Rock went out to become a Hollywood superstar whilst Brock Lesnar became a UFC Champion and ended the streak, no small feats but it makes Brock Lesnar a force to be reckoned with.

This would be a shot at redemption for The Rock, an opportunity to right a wrong or for Lesnar, to continue proving why he is the most dominant superstar in WWE history.

#2 -  Roman Reigns

I know, it looks very likely that Roman Reigns will have his WrestleMania moment when he defeats Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31, but remember plans do change and the WWE are famous for doing that. The two are cousins, it brings in another element to the feud, Roman Reigns looking to up his highly talented cousin and be the number one name in the family and the world.

Whether it's defeating Lesnar or The Rock, Roman Reigns will have his moment regardless.

#1 - Bray Wyatt

For me Bray Wyatt is the number one pick to take on The Rock, he can work in the ring, let’s not even divulge into his microphone work and since we’re mentioning the microphone let’s not forget The Rock is one of the greatest to pick one up, we’ve seen what The Rock can do in his battle with Vince as well as John Cena and CM Punk whereas Bray Wyatt brought a whole new group of fans into his herd when he destroyed John Cena.

It’s a perfect match, bringing in this creepy force to take out The Great One? What’s not to love?
