Arsenal will be a force to be reckoned with this season

Published 2 Comments

This season Arsenal fans will actually believe that they have a chance to go all the way and win the Premier League for the fourth time.

Unlike other seasons where the Gunners have started strongly and faded towards the end, this season looks like it can be a promising one.

Hardened side

After coming from 2-0 down in the FA Cup to win it 3-2 after extra time the north London side showed everyone that they are capable of not only winning trophies but overcoming very tough situations.

The squad that they had last year didn't have enough depth in it to content the likes of Manchester City for the title, but a promising thing we did see on them was that it looked like most of their players were starting to peak and find form.

Solid foundations

The defensive partnership of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker seemed as though Arsenal had finally sorted out their worries at the back, it may of helped that ex-Arsenal man Steve Bould is now the assistant but the two players still had to perform in the League week in and out.

The sudden rise of Aaron Ramsey was one that no Arsenal fan could of predicted, after coming back from a bad leg break the Welshman received a lot of criticism when he played at home.

But last season he was astounding, scoring 16 goals from midfield and also scoring the winning goal in the cup final saw his popularity rise at a rapid increase.

Exciting Additions

The new signings of David Ospina, Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers and Mattieu Debauchy have given the Gunners more depth to their squad and much needed pace in the form in the Chilean Alexis Sanchez.

Also with missed players like Abou Diaby, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who missed large parts of the previous season Arsenal really look like a team that could win the title.
