Crystal Palace have today announced the signing of Brede Hangeland, 33, on a free transfer.
The former Fulham captain makes the move to the south of the city following his release from the Cottagers this summer.
Hangeland had this to say upon signing fort the Eagles: "I'm absolutely delighted.”
"All the things I've heard about this club - the manager, players, staff - it's all been good things and I've seen that for myself this morning."
The 33-year-old reportedly held talks with Steve Bruce at Hull City but after some thought opted to remain in the capital. Hangeland is Palace's third signing of the summer and will now team up with the squad following their return from a pre-season tour of the United States.
The signing of the free agent could prove a shrewd piece of business by Tony Pulis. The Norweigian captain helped Fulham to Premier League survival in six out of his seven seasons at Craven Cottage becoming a fans favourite over that time.
