At WrestleMania 30, The Undertaker lost the greatest record in WWE and wrestling history. It really was the end of an era when Brock Lesnar managed to get the win from Taker thus taking with it the streak of 21 straight victories at the grandest stage of them all.
Every single year the streak came closer and closer to ending, but it's safe to say that most fans were shocked and a lot of others were disappointed that The Deadman gave up his greatest achievement to Lesnar. And one of those shocked faces belonged to Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Yes, The Texas Rattlesnake himself has revealed that he was completely lost for words when Lesnar got the pin on that night in New Orleans.
Austin recently appeared on 105.3 The Fan with hosts Shan & RJ, and the radio disc jockeys asked the prolific legend about The Undertaker's streak ending at WrestleMania 30, and if Austin was shocked by it all.
"Yeah, I was," Austin bluntly said. "I watched that match in the production truck with Kevin Dunn. I was sitting there drinking a beer, and they kept showing that guy in the front row; his eyes got real big and his jaw dropped. I did the same thing."
Stone Cold then went on to explain his shock about the loss.
"Hell, I couldn't believe The Undertaker lost. I didn't see any reason for it. I love The Undertaker and I love Brock Lesnar, but I love the streak, and I just thought it was so special, that it should never, ever be tarnished."
It's looking increasingly likely that the loss to Lesnar will be The Undertaker's last match in the WWE. The 49-year old was beat up pretty bad and was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital with Vince McMahon after suffering a concussion as well as other knocks.
Calloway doesn't seem to want to risk his health any further and no one can blame him. We should see him back at WrestleMania 31 in some way shape or form, but it's very doubtful it will be in a fighting capacity.
