Football News

The main headline for today is the news coming out of Team USA's camp ahead for the FIBA World Cup.

Team USA's training camp for the FIBA World Cup in Spain has been quite eventful, and today more news came out of the camp as three players were cut from the squad.

John Wall, Bradley Beal and Paul Millsap have been let go to reduce the squad to 16.

This news is great for diehard Washington Wizards fans who don't want to see their stars Wall and Beal suffer injuries during the tournament.

The merit of international basketball has been questioned in the wake of Paul George's horrific broken leg injury at the weekend.

Wizards fans will be secretly happy about Wall and Beal's omission, and they will be joined by the Millsap's Hawks fans.

Before the tournament starts in late August, USA will cut the remaining roster to 12, and those players will head to Europe to try and defend their title.
