Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar could be on the move this summer after his agent confirmed the player has received a number of offers, reports The Metro.
His agent, Arnold Oosterveer, revealed that the forward, who starred for the Netherlands at this summer's World Cup, has received offers from Turkey as well as other clubs, amid interest from some of England's elite clubs.
If the report from The Metro is to be believed, both Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in the services of the Schalke star in this window. It appears that Brendan Rodgers considered a move for the Dutchman throughout this summer's World Cup, whilst Spurs have been linked with the former Real Madrid man for some time now.
However, the Premier League duo may have a battle on their hands, as their rivals Arsenal and Manchester United were also linked with a move for the player late last month. It remains to be seen, however, as to whether any of the English clubs step up their interest in the Bundesliga ace.
It's uncertain as to whether Huntelaar has any offers from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Co. but it certainly appears that Turkey is a possible destination for the striker.
Speaking to reporters, the player's agent said: "We have received offers from Turkey for Huntelaar but we are still at an early stage.
"We have also had other offers and it’s essential now that we make the right choice.
"I will hold talks with Schalke regarding his future.
"We will not make our final decision without discussing with Schalke first."
Who needs him?
Despite the player having worked under Van Gaal in Brazil, it seems unlikely that the Manchester United boss would make a move for him with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Co. already at Old Trafford.
Arsenal, meanwhile, who have already signed Alexis Sanchez, could still do with a back-up for Olivier Giroud, whilst their north London rivals Tottenham also appear to be in need of a striker addition.
Like Arsenal and Spurs, Liverpool could do with adding to their attacking options after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona. Rodgers has already secured the services of ex-Southampton man Rickie Lambert but, with other new signing Divock Origi set for a spell on loan, he could do with adding to his options.
