Liverpool have signed no less than seven players this summer, and that number is set to rise with the imminent arrival of Alberto Moreno from Sevilla.
However one player who won't be arriving at Anfield is Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi - his agent has denied speaking to Liverpool over a potential transfer.
Liverpool have been linked with a host of forwards following the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona in a deal worth a reported £75 million. They looked to have sewn up a move for Loic Remy, however that fell through at the last minute, reportedly because of an issue with his medical.
Icardi has been suggested as a possible target and the Metro say a £16 million bid is forthcoming - but his agent Letterio Pino insists there have been no talks over a potential switch to Liverpool in order to fill the gap left behind by Suarez.
He told Sportitalia: "Neither have I, nor Abian Morano, his other agent, ever had any contacts with the English club."
