WWE: Is the new Nation of Domination over already?

A few weeks ago on Raw, the WWE Universe were treated to what was then believed to be the formation of the new Nation of Domination as Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E looked to be teaming up and taking over WWE. Now it seems this plan has been dropped.

After Woods made the speech, it seemed both Kofi and Big E were set for a heel turn as they "took" what they wanted, but this week on Smackdown Big E was back to playing the babyface role as he again lost to long-time rival Rusev, who was gaining momentum for his match against Jack Swagger at Summerslam next weekend.

As well as this, it seems Kofi has been back to being a babyface at house shows in Australia this week and Xavier has gone back down to NXT.

No Nation of Domination?

If this was part of their whole "Take what they want" gimmick then why were Xavier and Kingston not present for Big E's match against Rusev? House shows have been known to switch faces and heels based on the cities they perform in, because it doesn't bode well for them if a hometown heel is cheered more than a face.

If it was the fact that to have the three attack Rusev after the match would make him look weak before one of the biggest matches of his career, then why was Big E back to facing Rusev? The two had a storied rivalry earlier in the year and even faced each other on pay-per-view but still Rusev remains unpinned and anyone could have been involved in a squash match with him last week, why Big E?

Missed opportunity?

The three would have gained so much from teaming together, and could have been the new dominant trio in WWE after the break-up of one of the most dominant teams in WWE history in The Shield.

Right now, WWE has pedigree in their tag team division and since 3MB were disbanded there are now no trio teams left, so it does make sense if WWE decided the trio didn't have any form of competition. It had looked like Xavier would be managing the tag team of Big E and Kofi, who have teamed together and have looked strong.

Right now there is nothing coming out of WWE to back up whether or not the team is over or if it's just put on hold for the time being. More will perhaps become clear Monday on Raw.
