Manchester United striker Angelo Henriquez has joined Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb on loan for the 2014/15 season.
This has been reported by Zagreb's official site, with the club unveiling the Manchester United man as their latest signing this summer.
It appears, then, that new United boss Louis van Gaal sees Henriquez as part of the club's future after only shipping him out on loan for the up coming season. The forward, who was left out of United's tour of the US, has struggled to make an impression at Manchester United after joining the club from Universidad de Chile in 2012.
Henriquez has already spent loans at Wigan Athletic and Spanish outfit Real Zaragoza in recent time. At Wigan - in the 2012/13 campaign - the youngster struggled for opportunities - making just four Premier League appearances for the club.
At Zaragoza last term, the striker was handed more opportunities, but only managed six goals in 25 appearances for the club in the Segunda División. Now, though, as the 20-year-old gets ready for a third loan spell, he will be hoping to flourish at Zagreb, and continue his progression in the game.
It's not surprising that Manchester United have sent him out on loan for the up coming season, with the array of attacking talent at Van Gaal's disposal at the Theatre of Dreams. With United looking to bounce back after a disastrous campaign under former manager David Moyes, Van Gaal will be hoping the likes of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney fire the club to success next season.
As well as Van Persie and Rooney, United also have the likes of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck fighting it out for a place in the first team. Manchester United fans will also be hoping to see more of youngster James Wilson after the youngster impressed on his debut last term. The trio of strikers will all be looking to play an important role under Van Gaal, but will be well aware that Rooney and Van Persie are the No.1 strikers at the club.
It's not yet known as to whether Henriquez has a future at Old Trafford, but he will certainly be looking to improve in the 2014/15 season.
