Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel could leave Stamford Bridge on loan this season, after his agent claimed a decision will be taken towards the end of the transfer window. (NU.nl)
The 21-year-old Dutchman joined the Blues in an £8m deal last summer, but made just four senior appearances for Jose Mourinho's side before suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in September.
Van Ginkel returned to reserve team action at the end of last season and continued his rehabilitation over the summer, in a bid to get back in first-team contention for the forthcoming campaign.
But, with competition for midfield places arguably at an all-time high in west London the twice capped Holland international might be better off leaving the club on loan to get some regular action.
Mourinho has already vetoed a proposed return to the Eredivisie with Ajax, but might be open to let Van Ginkel join a Premier League rival to continue his development in England.
