WWE Studios and Lionsgate have teamed up to release their second movie together, one which will star former Shield member Dean Ambrose.
The movie, called Lockdown, is about a police officer who finds himself trapped inside his own precinct and hunted after crooked cops stop at nothing to recover incriminating evidence of illegal activities against those closest to him.
It's sure to be a frenetic, adrenaline filled picture, one that will suit Ambrose perfectly as it can't be too far away from his 'Lunatic Fringe' gimmick that he has going on now.
The fact that WWE Studios have chosen Ambrose is massively encouraging for his future and his fans, with superstars who have starred in movies coming back to massive pushes.
The Miz is currently enjoying a massive push and somewhat of a career resurgence after appearing in the latest "Marine" movie. His gimmick of an arrogant movie superstar is drawing big heat and the Miz is playing it to perfection - however he is such a natural heel.
Bad News Barrett has also received a push after making his big screen début in the movie "Dead Man Down", however, he has been plagued by injuries since.
Written off TV?
Production starts next month, which could be a sign of how this match at SummerSlam goes, as he will have to be written off WWE TV for some time.
Ambrose and Seth Rollins are set for a blockbuster match at SummerSlam. Despite the somewhat disappointing gimmick of a "Lumberjack match" being attached to the fight, they have such great in-ring chemistry and could steal the show.
It will be interesting to see how they go on from there though, as it's likely we will get one final match from these two at Night of Champions despite the outcome of this Sunday's match.
Presuming that we don't see a Money in the Bank cash-in by Rollins at the end of SummerSlam, we could well see a fight between these two at Night of Champions for the briefcase. With the Network going live internationally in and around that PPV, they are going to stack the card.
That could be the perfect opportunity to write Ambrose off WWE TV, have him suffer a massive beatdown or have the clause that if he loses he is fired. He can then make his return come the new year or Survivor Series.
Whatever the WWE have planned for Ambrose, he is set for a massive future.
