The final event before the biggest party of the summer took place on Friday night as Smackdown rolled on with Roman Reigns running riot.

Reigns was a guest on Miz TV as the two opened the show and the WWE's movie star was trying to offer some advice to Reigns.

It led to a backstage segment between Miz and Corporate Kane in which Kane would inform him that he would have to face Reigns in the main event.

So more hype placed around this Sunday's Intercontinental Championship showdown between Miz and Dolph Ziggler, but the show off was in action himself on Smackdown as he got the win over Titus O'Neill.

The mentally challenging rivalry between Paige and AJ Lee continued as the Divas Champion was set to take on Eva Marie.

The Divas championship match at Summer Slam should be one worth watching as the battle of the 'crazy' divas goes down in Los Angeles.

What started as a singles match between Mark Henry and Luke Harper took an interesting twist after a very physical encounter.

Following the interference by Erick Rowan, a heavyweight tag team match began as Big Show and Mark Henry battled the two members of the Wyatt family.

Ahead of his clash with Rusev at Summer Slam, Jack Swagger took on Bo Dallas and earned a very quick victory.

After tapping out to the Patriot Lock Dallas reassured fans that he didn't tap out, but that he was trying to move towards the ropes and the referee misunderstood his actions.

Cesaro gave Dean Ambrose a final work out before he takes on Seth Rollins at Summer Slam with Ambrose getting the win after a hard fought match.
