Arsene Wenger has opted to start with Yaya Sanogo up front while Olivier Giroud is benched.
Arsenal begin their Premier League campaign with a home match against Crystal Palace, who lost manager Tony Pulis earlier this week. Palace start Frazier Campbell and new signing Martin Kelly.
But it's the decision to start with the youngster Sanogo that is the undoubted talking point for the Gunners. Elsewhere, there's a start for £16m man Calum Chambers at the back.
The former-Southampton defender partners Laurent Koscielny, who passed a late fitness test to make the team. Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey make up the midfield, while £32m signing Alexis Sanchez plays behind Sanogo and alongside Santi Cazorla.
