Rusev is about to take on Jack Swagger in a flag match at Summer Slam, it shoudl be a great match but if Swagger can't get the job done, who can?
With a character such as Rusev, still unbeaten, very anti-American and actually, anti-anything not Russian, you have to wonder who will they choose to finally defeat him?
Well first off, there is a long list of superstars automatically ruled out because of their physical appearance.
Look at Rusev's two last major opponents, Big E and Swagger are both very muscular and can be classified as big men.
So unfortunately, I don't think its going to be Heath Slater who will conquer the big Russian's undefeated streak.
I think there are four candidates, one quite unlikely, one who may not even be in the running, and two who I think will be Rusev's next two feuds.
When it comes to physicality, brutality and simply just hurting people, there are very few men who can best Lesnar in the game.
A Lesnar v Rusev feud would be incredible and would produce one of the most physical matches in WWE history.
Alas, with Lesnar wrapped up in the race for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship it would take a major push to set Rusev as his rival so for that reason, Lesnar is quite unlikely.
Reigns is the current poster boy for the WWE and has previously had some history with Rusev.
Whenever he and Rusev have clashed, it has resulted in some incredible matches that have captivated the live audience and the WWE Universe watching at home.
Much like Lesnar however, Reigns seems tied up in other feuds that will surely end with a championship match so he is probably not in the running.
Well Sheamus certainly has the physique to go one-on-one with the big man - no matter just how pale it is.
He currently holds the United States Championship and is it really that far out of reach that Lana and Rusev may seek to claim that championship above others?
It would bring weeks of belittling America as Rusev would stand tall as the United States champion.
This is the first feud I feel the WWE will do and that all of this will happen with Rusev beating Sheamus in two very physical contests before moving him onto the man who will give him his first defeat in the WWE.
Lets face John Cena is the go to guy in the WWE but in this particular case, I think he fits perfectly.
He has the strength to pull off a victory over Rusev, is a well known American patriot and is often viewed as the soldier of the WWE.
Who better to reclaim the United States Title from a Russian invader than Saint Cena?
I know that Cena going for the US title is a bit lower down than where he has been competing for years, but that championship needs some prestige brought back to it and Cena would certainly be the man to do it.
