WWE gives up on Bo Dallas

The WWE will always call up a number of superstars and divas from NXT to their main roster as they look to the future of the company. We’ve recently witnessed that with the successful main roster debuts of The Shield, Rusev and The Wyatt Family.

Failed push

However, not every single call up is successful. More often than not, a push fails and the superstar or diva is set right down to the bottom once more.

Most recently we had the main roster debuts of three talents, former NXT Women’s Champion and former WWE Diva’s Champion, Paige. Adam Rose and former NXT Champion; Bo Dallas.

It’s no secret that the Adam Rose character has basically failed and won’t be receiving a push in the near future.

Paige wasn’t going over as expected and there were rumours that the hierarchy had given up on her as well, but her feud with AJ Lee hasn’t been too bad; plus she has plenty of years left in her and will definitely become an amazing diva on the roster.

The third vignette that aired on Monday Night Raw and on Friday Night SmackDown for a number of weeks was for the re-debut of Bo Dallas on the main roster.

Bo Dallas created his own streak by steamrolling through his opponents week after week, but he wasn’t really placed into a feud he could really bite his teeth into and show the fans what he is really capable of, as his gimmick was fantastic in NXT.

Vince isn't a fan

But it looks as if that success hasn’t transferred to the main roster as there have been strong rumours over the last few days that the Chairman Vince McMahon has given up on the Bo Dallas character; which is why we saw Bo Dallas lose to Jack Swagger via the Patriot Lock on SmackDown.

However Bo Dallas continued to provide entertainment in light of his loss to Swagger, telling the fans he didn’t tap out but he was crawling to the ropes and the referee misunderstood.

The WWE did tease a face turn for Bo Dallas not so long ago which I believe would have worked wonders for Bo, having thousands of Bolievers behind him in this cheesy gimmick. This would have allowed Bo Dallas to work on his character a lot more, develop more feuds and gain a much larger fan base than he already has.

What needs to be done

If this did happen, then a heel turn would have been inevitable and he would have been so much more successful; and it’s a shame than Vince has given up on Bo Dallas because he and this gimmick had so much potential. Fans were even calling for Bo Dallas to become Intercontinental Champion; as he could be someone to hold on to the gold for a lengthy period as the fans continue to despise him; this would be excellent for character development.

I still believe they should give Bo Dallas some more time and a relevant feud against a big face to test the waters before dropping him back down so soon.

Vince just needs to Bolieve.
