Jose Mourinho has opted for Thibaut Courtois over Petr Cech for the opening game of the Premier League season.
It was the big question coming into the game, as the Chelsea boss has the luxury of calling on two of the world's best goalkeepers. He's gone for youth and potential over experience, although Courtois has established himself as one of football's best despite his age.
Elsewhere, Mourinho has handed a start to £32m signing Diego Costa, the man expected to fire Chelsea to the title this season. Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres are the striker options on the bench.
World Cup winning forward Andre Schurrle starts alongside Oscar and Eden Hazard, while Cesc Fabregas partners Nemanja Matic in the middle of midfield.
At the back, it's perhaps a surprise to see Cesar Azpilicueta take his place at left-back considering the purchase of Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian full-back has played the majority of preseason but Mourinho has opted for Azpilicueta, who was one of the club's most consistent performers last term.
John Terry and Gary Cahill resume their partnership in central defence, with Serbian Branislav Ivanovic at right-back.
