As fans, we love it when a WWE superstars attempts to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase; it brings a sense of excitement and unpredictability at the fact that within seconds there could be a new World Champion.
Rollins needs to cash in successfully
So far only two men have failed to successfully cash in the Money in the Bank contract, John Cena failed when he attempted to defeat CM Punk for the WWE Championship and then Damien Sandow failed when he tried to wrangle the World Heavyweight Championship from John Cena’s grasp.
Now that the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship belts have been unified there is only one Money in the Bank briefcase holder and Seth Rollins is the lucky individual to hold the golden briefcase.
Ever since he stabbed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in the back as The Shield imploded, Seth Rollins was tipped for stardom once he captured the briefcase. He has attempted to cash in the briefcase already, but it hasn’t been easy and it looks as if it won’t be any easier any time soon.
Dean Ambrose won't let it happen
This is because Dean Ambrose vowed that any time Seth Rollins tries to cash in, he will be there to stop him.
There were a lot of fans – including me – that wanted Seth Rollins to either a tease a cash in at SummerSlam or actually go ahead and successfully cash in against the winner; but neither of them happened.
If Rollins did go ahead with the cash in, you can imagine the audacious reaction the crowd would provide; but now that this opportunity has passed up Seth Rollins needs to hold on to his briefcase until March 29, 2015.
- Dean Ambrose is the best face in the WWE
- Independent wrestling stars continue to dominate WWE
- WWE: Three titles changed hands at SummerSlam
On that date WrestleMania 31 will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California and to this day no superstar has cashed in a briefcase at the grandest stage of them all; that’s the night Seth Rollins needs to cash in, and cash in successfully.
Right now the most likely and most favourable plan is that The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar will walk into WrestleMania 31 as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and his opponent will be none other than Roman Reigns, the man tipped to become champion at WrestleMania.
It’s no secret that Reigns will be booked to win that match, becoming a mega star in the business, if he isn’t already, as he would be the one to defeat the one behind 21 and 1, and for the rest of his career he would carry that honour with him.
Roman Reigns should have his WrestleMania moment, it will be a special occasion for him to become the number one star in the company in California; for a short while at least until his former partner Seth Rollins decides it’s time to cash in.
Dean Ambrose is already having his turn at Seth Rollins and we know Rollins and Reigns are almost certain to cross paths in the future as well; WrestleMania 31 would be the perfect starting point and with the championship on the line it would make it that much more personal.
You can imagine the reaction from the fans if Rollins’ music hits as Reigns is celebrating, basking in his glory with the gold; only for Reigns to fall at the first hurdle and it’s Rollins who ends up as the number one man in the company.
Of course, Rollins cashing in on Lesnar from now up until WrestleMania would also have a massive impact as it would be Rollins who defeats the man that conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak; but it won’t be a personal rivalry. The fans adore Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins would just love to throw a spanner in the works and ruin Reigns’ moment at WrestleMania.
