Angel di Maria is seemingly on his way to Man United, according reports in The Sun.

The welcome news as far as United are concerned, comes after Real manager Carlo Ancelotti, allegedly said he can leave if he wants.

" I don't know what Di Maria has decided. Until August 31 he will be here in principle, from there he stays or he is no longer with us, we will think about it later," he said. “After August 31, everything will be cleared up.”

Di Maria is a key transfer target for Manchester United, and a mega money offer is due to be tabled in the coming days.

Paris Saint Germain had publicly ruled themselves out of the race to sign the Real midfielder, citing that the deal is too expensive, but are certainly still in the running for his signature.

Up and down

After seemingly ruling out any transfers either in or out, Ancelotti has certainly had a change of tone in recent days. Manchester United are now favourites to land the Argentine, however they still face stiff competition from mega-rich French side PSG.

United manager Louis Van Gaal will be desperate to bring through some new blood, after a faltering start at home to Swansea, where his side looked desperately short of quality.

With the signing of Marcus Rojo for around £15 million plus Nani all but confirmed, the Old Trafford faithful will be hoping that finally they can receive some good news in terms of transfers.

As we have learn't in recent years though, nothing is certain when it comes to Manchester United and transfers.
