Dean Ambrose has been a major player in WWE for almost two years, both as a member of The Shield and as a singles competitor, who do WWE have to replace him?
It was announced last week that the "Lunatic Fringe" had landed a role in WWE's latest film Lockdown and so would be missing a few months of WWE TV whilst it was being filmed in the lead up to Christmas.
Many thought that because it was a WWE film, they could pick and choose which Raw's and Pay-per-views Ambrose would miss so that the feud with Seth Rollins could continue to build momentum heading up to what could be an impressive showdown from the pair.
This wasn't to be, Monday night on Raw we saw Ambrose curb stomped on the announce table and through some cinder blocks before he was stretchered to the back and WWE later released a statement saying he was officially missing after refusing medical treatment.
This could be WWE's way of writing him off TV so that they can build a new feud for Seth, or it could be their way of making the WWE Universe think they have written him off and when Seth tries to cash in next week, Ambrose will show up once again?
As far as the plan for writing him off TV for a few months goes, it's ridiculous, lets be honest, every match The Shield had at any given pay-per-view absolutely stole the show. And even though Brock Lesnar v John Cena was the Main Event of this year's Summerslam, we all know why we brought the event and we all know why they didn't let the match happen at Battleground.
Rollins v Ambrose is a huge pull, they are both great on the mic and in the ring and that Lumberjack match on Sunday night proved that. Again the two of them stole the show and now Seth Rollins has no one on par with him to feud with.
Since he turned heel Ambrose has played the appropriate face and put him over to be a lot more hated that he probably should have been, now Kane and Rollins have no victim. Randy Orton is still busy with Roman Reigns and Triple H seems to be embroiled in his own Authority issue with Stephanie, so who will they pick on next?
With the main event already announced for Night of Champions, and Ambrose not set to be back in time, and with this being the last pay-per-view before the Network is officially unveiled here in the UK. What will be the main pull? How will WWE make Night of Champions one of the best pay-per-views of the year without one of their star attractions?
The move was a really bad one by WWE, a movie can be made at any time, RVD and Chris Jericho are set to be leaving soon for their few months out as they usually do and with all the releases that have been made they will need to cover this and losing Ambrose for a few months was a really stupid decision.
