With WWE legends such as Hulk Hogan and Sting often being spoken about or even appearing on WWE shows, it is time for Divas icons such as Lita and Trish Stratus to make a return.
Hinted at it
Lita, one of the biggest names in the female world of WWE, hinted at a return to the ring over four months ago ahead of her induction to the WWE Hall of Fame on the eve on WrestleMania XXX.
At the time, the 39-year-old said: "I do feel really great and really strong, so that would be more the reason why I would want to get back out there. It's not really something I feel like I need to do, but if my arm was twisted at the right time, I could probably be talked into it."
I believe now would be as good a time as any for Lita, or any other ex-Diva such as Chyna or Trish Stratus, to have even a cameo role in a pay-per-view event or perhaps on an episode of Monday Night Raw.
As with the WWE legends who have made a return of late, a match is not a necessity for them to have during their appearance.
The Divas section of WWE at present, has improved with the ongoing rivalry between Paige and AJ Lee, as well as the hype surrounding the Bella twins and Stephanie McMahon.
This part of WWE however, still does not compare to the days of Lita and Stratus, with the pair gaining a significant following as well as two thoroughly-deserved inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Given the improvement of the WWE Divas lately, an appearance by a former WWE Superstar would surely enhance focus which is currently on these Superstars, and prove they have idols who are just as popular as some of the male WWE legends.
Seeing as the majority of these past Superstars have now become more synonymous with settling down with their own family or running their own business, the chance of a return from any of them may be very slim.
At present there are just seven women who have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, understandably less than the male-dominated side of the industry, but there is a reason icons such as Lita and Stratus are amongst those seven. An appearance made by either of them, brief or not, in an upcoming WWE show would definitely be an entertaining moment.
