After his impressive victory over Chris Jericho at SummerSlam, it will be interesting to see where the Eater of Worlds will fit into any upcoming story-lines and what the WWE have planned for the leader of the Wyatt family.
Arguably the most loved heel we have seen in the WWE for a long time, if given the chance, it appears that he has both the mic skills and in-ring ability to make a real name for himself in the company.
It would be premature to suggest that Wyatt has the ability to face Brock Lesnar for the title. Besides, it was just announced that John Cena has revoked his rematch clause at Night of Champions, so that one may be ticked off.
With Lesnar so dominating, it's hard to see anyone but Cena being given the chance to wrestle the title away from him.
That would leave a league below the heavyweight championship, and above the Intercontinental championship, which Wyatt would find himself in.
I feel a shot at the intercontinental championship would actually be a step down for Wyatt, though it does seem he ran out of steam a tad after facing Cena at Wrestlemania.
The trio of Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan is strong, but I feel it is wearing thin.
Wyatt clearly has more ability than the two of them, both on the mic and as a wrestler. Perhaps if Harper and Rowan interfere and it goes wrong, they could eventually go their separate ways.
A month long storyline of a drift between the trio followed by a handicap/triple threat match could allow time to pass with the Brock/Cena storyline, giving him a later opportunity at a title.
Alternatively, their faction could just fade away, as seems to have been the case with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Everyone is selling out these days anyway.
With a potential part-time champion in the shape of Lesnar, it would leave the door open for many to compete for alternative championships, perhaps raising their prestige.
As mentioned previously, the league below is full of talented wrestlers who aren't quite ready for a shot against Lesnar, but are too good for the current Intercontinental Championship. They could compete for the title, boosting its prestige.
Imagine an intercontinental championship with the likes of Wyatt, Ambrose, Rusev, Sheamus and possibly even Reigns all competing? Exciting stuff.
A more prestigious belt could be an option, and we could see Wyatt holding that in the coming months, while/if the Lesnar situation cools down.
The US title could then be competed with this below, for example Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett and The Miz.
In an ideal world, Wyatt would go from strength-to-strength and eventually compete for the heavyweight championship. However, as we have seen many times with talented wrestlers, it isn't always the case.
Unfortunately, I think Wyatt will eventually fizzle out to a mid-card player, occasionally competing for the US title, but often facing the likes of the Big Show and Chris Jericho on card-filler matches.
