When you are the most talented basketball players from your area, you are likely to come up against familiar faces on a regular basis and this was certainly the case for future NBA stars Kevin Durant and Stephan Curry.

Durant and Curry were joined by Anthony Davis and James Harden for an honest and humorous interview at the NBA2k15 Uncensored event in which hilarious tales of their pasts were discussed at length, including the first time Durant came across a 10-year-old Curry.

Much to the amusement of his peers, the reigning MVP tells the story of when the two future greats first crossed paths at an AUU event in Charlotte about 15 years ago.

Durant stumbled across what he believed to be a 'white' point guard who was taking wild shots from half court and making it splash, KD had no idea at the time that the diminutive point guard that he described as 'yellowy' was the son of NBA star Dell Curry.

He certainly knew that Curry was something special by the end of the game though as the 10-year-old dropped 35 points on Durant's squad.

Durant would realise almost ten years later when Curry was close to joining the NBA that the not-so-white guy he met at the AUU event would become one of the best point guards in the league along with one of the greatest shooters of all time.

Curry can't help but crack up during the interview as KD explains the story, James Harden also finds Durant's initial confusion as hilarious but it seems that Anthony Davis may have only just realised that Curry is not in fact white.

The pair have both made it to the elite level of basketball and are now shining in the NBA, they can both remember the first time they duelled on the hardwood and you can expect to see some more incredible battles for many years to come.
