Roma forward Mattia Destro's agent has fuelled speculation that his client could join Chelsea this summer after confirming that Jose Mourinho admires the Tottenham target.
The Daily Star carries quotes from Claudio Vigorelli which intimate that a Premier League switch might be imminent following suggestions the £20 million rated Italy international is the subject of transfer negotiations.
"I cannot deny he is at the centre of some important situations that could develop," Vigorelli told alfredopedulla.com.
"More Milan or Chelsea? The market is unpredictable. [But] these are two interested clubs.
"Jose Mourinho admires him, while Milan could make some important steps forward very soon."
The Blues boss is not alone in his alleged interest in the 23-year-old, with Mauricio Pochettino also believed to be interested in taking the Serie 'A' star to White Hart Lane.
According to the Daily Express last week, the Spurs manager was preparing an offer to take Destro to north London, which would see the Italian reunited with former team-mate Erik Lamela in the capital.
Technical Director Franco Baldini - formerly on the board at AS Roma - would play an instrumental role in the player's prospective move to Tottenham, but judging by Vigorelli's latest comments they aren't currently in contention for Destro's signature, with Stamford Bridge seemingly a much more likely destination.
