John Cena has been in the WWE for over a decade now, and it seems like all the matches he has fought in have had a serious effect on his body.
According to reports emerging today, Cena is really suffering with long-term upper body injuries that could very well see him force to leave the WWE earlier than expected.
"PWInsider reports that there has been talk within WWE for about 6-8 weeks that John Cena is still having problems with his shoulder but is now having more problems with his neck. These are longterm nagging issues that Cena has been dealing with.
"It was also said that there are a lot of people within WWE keeping an eye on Cena to see where he will be going forward in regards to acting and not wrestling as much.
"The website added that there are also people within WWE who say Cena appears to be in pain and they believe Cena has slowed down physically in the way he moves."
The 37-year old Cena has been wrestling now since 1999 when he started out with Ultimate Pro Wrestling - UPW. Two years later he was snapped up by Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation after being spotted as UPW's Heavyweight Champion and was on the WWE's main roster a year later in 2002.
I know it says in the piece that Cena has been afflicted for the past couple of months but there is a genuine chance that his heavy defeat to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam could have actually caused even more damage with all the german suplexes he had to take.
Cena is still the WWE's go to guy though so it will be a while before they let him call it a day. He did have to take some time off after the Lesnar fight however so maybe it could be the real deal and the end of the dominant Cena we know.
