Sting vs John Cena could happen soon

Published 1 Comments

During the WWE 2K15 roster reveal launch event earlier this month, WWE legend Sting made it clear that he is keen to have one final match.

Though The Stinger did add that he is also open to seeing how events pan out in the future, he insisted that he wanted to see how his body felt after that match, surely confirming that we can look forward to a ring return for Sting.

Also present at the roster reveal for the game which will be available later this year was John Cena, who stated that he cannot wait to see Sting finally compete in a WWE ring.

Sting vs Cena

To this, Cena added: "Selfishly, I'd love to step in there against him. I hope it can happen before he graciously decides not to be active in the ring."

Sting responding by saying he would absolutely love to have the chance to wrestle John Cena, so perhaps we already know who Sting's opponent will be for that match he is so eager to take part in.

Although there has been no indication that this match is for definite, the possibility of it will undoubtedly be welcomed by the WWE Universe, who would love to see these two giants of the industry compete.

With an ideal match-up against The Undertaker looking more and more unlikely, someone has to take the place of The Dead Man as a perfect opponent for Sting, with Cena being just the man to do so.

Though many hoped in the run up to WrestleMania XXX for an encounter between The Undertaker and Sting, the fact the latter's infamous streak was ended that night by Brock Lesnar, only added to how unlikely a match between the two would now be, as great a shame as it is.

Living legend

What we do know for certain however, is Sting's determination to return to the ring as well as his individual persona, means that the match he takes part in will be an unforgettable one.

His suggestion at taking part in possibly even more matches than one if his body can handle it, is an amazing feat at the age of 55, and proves his commitment to the professional-wrestling world.

Given the excitement and reaction which came about when Sting's promo video was aired, we can be sure that whenever and wherever his highly-anticipated match takes place, all eyes of the WWE Universe will be on it.
