Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers fell for a teenage concocted hoax that a real life 'Purge' was to hit some of the major cities in America and tweeted out his worry to his followers.
The shooting guard nicknamed 'Swaggy P' saw pictures all across social media of a supposed real life purge hitting some of the main cities in the US and didn't act as cool as his name suggests.
Young began to panic after seeing some daunting images and began to express his worry to his 150k followers on twitter.
He first tweeted saying: "So they got a real life purge in Chi-town and Milwaukee that's crazy ..."
Before following it up later with: "We need to wake up for real if that's true."
Young clearly didn't realise that it was a hoax concocted by a teenager and his panic was certainly real.
The Purge itself is an american action-horror film directed by James DeMonaco, it centres around all political movement having been shut down by the Government and there subsequent control of the country through a strict totalitarian rule.
Economy is all an all time high, whilst unemployment and criminal activity is an at all time low, however their is an annual 'purge' conducted in which all crime is legal for 24 hours.
The internet has immediately gravitated towards the film in large parts due to its success in the box office, but many have tried to actually concoct their own 'real life purge' through campaign's on social media and Nick Young is just one of many to unfortunately be fooled by the attempts.
Young should focus on the real life horror that is the Los Angeles Lakers at present, an ageing Steve Nash, a recovering Kobe Bryant and an exiting Pau Gasol has left the franchise in a sorry state for the new campaign as they prepare to battle in the extremely tough Western Conference.
