This week on NXT the new General Manager was finally announced and he made a blockbuster announcement surrounding the main event of Takeover II.

Last week we saw The Vaudevillians advance in the NXT Tag Team Championship tournament when they defeated the team of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady before The Legionnaires attacked Enzo and Big Cass and a hair vs. hair match was announced for NXT Takeover II.

Tyson Kidd, Charlotte and Mojo Rawley also picked up wins last week as they defeated Tyler Breeze, Becky Lynch and Steve Cutler respectively. The main event saw the team of Kalisto and Sin Cara advance to the next round of the NXT Tag Team Championship tournament when they defeated Sami Zayn and Adam Rose and will now take on The Vaudevillians for a shot at The Ascension at Takeover II.

Rich Brennan, Alex Riley and Jason Albert were the commentators for the evening as they hyped up NXT Takeover II where all of the championship titles will be on the line; as well as speculating who could replace John Bradshaw Layfield as the General Manager of NXT.

Match One: The Ascension vs. Enhancement Talent

I don’t think anybody really caught the names of the two enhancement superstars attempting to defeat Konnor and Viktor so you already know just how this match was going to go down. The fans were vocal and sarcastic all night and cheered for the jobbers, but ultimately The Ascension hit the Fall of Man for the victory in just over one minute.

Result: The Ascension defeat the jobbers

The Ascension stay inside the ring after the match as Konnor reminds the fans that the NXT Tag Team Championship tournament ends next week, where The Vaudevillians take on Sin Cara and Kalisto. Konnor tells the NXT fans that they will rise.

Next the General Manager of NXT is finally revealed as England’s own William Regal. He tells the fans that he has been on NXT since it was formed and as his first action as General Manager, he will name the main event of Takeover II before asking NXT Champion Adrian Neville to make his way to the ring.

Fellow Englishman and NXT Champion Adrian Neville then comes out and congratulates Regal on his new job and asks him “who’s next?” prompting loud Goldberg chants from the fans.

William Regal is about to announce his opponent but Tyson Kidd decides he wants to interrupt proceedings. Before William Regal can even say anything Tyson accepts the title match as Tyler Breeze then makes his way to the ring. He tells Regal that this ‘uggo’ doesn’t deserve a title match, everyone deserves a shot before him even his wife; Natalya. Sami Zayn is the last man out and he too believes he deserves a shot at the NXT Championship.

Adrian Neville proves he’s a fighting champion as he tells William Regal he wants them all, Regal approves and we have our main event for NXT Takeover II. Adrian Neville defends his NXT Championship in a fatal 4 way match against Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn. William Regal also made a main event match for the night, Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn teaming up in tag team action against Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze.

Match Two: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley

The match which really showed just how great the NXT crowd were, some brilliant chants from ‘Bayle’s going to hug you’ to ‘Let’s Go Bayley! Cena Sucks!’ Bayley continued her impressive run of form as she hit the Belly to Bayley for the victory.

Bayley is on the microphone after her victory over Sasha Banks and tells the fans that she is like a kitten stuck on a branch that tells you to hang in there, and she’ll turn her dream into a reality and capture the NXT Women’s Championship at Takeover II. The champion interrupts her and Charlotte tells Bayley she would laugh at the kitten, she tells her to stick to her hugs as she’s going to destroy her at Takeover II. Bayley responds by saying she doesn’t want any hugs, she is taking the title.

Match Three: Bull Dempsey vs. Angelo Dawkins

Another match, another victory for Bull Dempsey which makes him look unstoppable. A complete one sided bout and thankfully for Dawkins it finished in under three minutes as Dempsey hit the Bulldozer for the victory.

Result: Bull Dempsey defeats Angelo Dawkins

Before the main event begins, Marcus Louis and Sylvester Lefort of The Legionnaires are laughing about the fact that they shaved off half of Enzo Amore’s beard last week before walking off speaking a lot of French.

Main Event: Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze and Tyson Kidd

A very good main event which only makes their fatal 4 way match at Takeover II even more anticipating. A very equal match which was made so all four men could show off what they bring to the table, Tyson Kidd and Adrian Neville with their impressive high flying abilities, Tyler Breeze always keeping up and fighting back whilst Sami Zayn showed off his superior technical ability.

It finished when Adrian Neville was about to hit the Red Arrow only for Tyler Breeze to break it up, Sami Zayn accidentally kicked his partner off the top rope whilst Breeze and Kidd also argued on who the legal man is. Tyson Kidd then pinned Adrian Neville for the victory after the blue thunder bomb.

After the match Sami Zayn hit a Helluva Kick on Tyson Kidd before closing the show with the NXT Championship in his hands.

Result: Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze defeat Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn
