Arsenal have been made favourites to sign Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony on deadline day in the summer transfer window.
Sky Bet are offering odds of 5/2 on the Ivorian international forward moving to north London before 11pm tonight, with less than 12 hours remaining on deadline day.
Wenger's striker search
Arsene Wenger is in the market for a striker, having missed out on a number of big-name targets already this summer - including Lois Remy.
And, with the clock ticking on the Gunners’ manager, a decision will need to be made quickly as to whether the Swans’ hitman is the right fit for the Emirates Stadium ahead of a four-trophy challenge this season.
With Olivier Giroud out until the New Year, Arsenal are not blessed with lots of options in attack, with Yaya Sanogo appearing to be Wenger’s favoured choice. However, he failed to impress in yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Leicester.
Alexis Sanchez has shown his ability to lead the line already this season, and Joel Campbell is another option after an impressive loan spell in Greece last season. However, he’s been limited to appearances off the bench thus far for the Gunners, and none of these players have a track record of scoring goals in the Premier League.
That’s something Bony does boast after notching 16 domestic goals last season and 25 in all competitions at the Liberty Stadium. Manager Gary Monk will be desperate to keep the 25-year-old in Wales.
However, the former Vitesse hitman is earning admiring glances from other clubs, and the bookies believe it’s Arsenal who are at the head of the queue.

Spurs are second favourites in the market - dropped from the top of the pile - at 5/1, with Manchester United further back at 14/1. Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool are also available at an even bigger 25s.
Speculation last week claimed a £24million fee would be needed to land the player.
