Alessio Cerci has completed his medical at the Fremap Clinic and signed for Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, according to BBC Sport.
The established Italian international has snubbed a reported move to Barclays Premier League giants, Arsenal, for the reigning La Liga champions and Champions League finalists as Diego Simeone looks to build on last season's successes.
Los Rojiblancos announced an agreement with Torino over the reported €16 million transfer fee plus €3 million in bonuses on Sunday evening, amidst heavy interest from other suitors, namely Arsenal and Juventus.
Cerci is quoted as saying he: "Knows that Simeone wanted him," a decisive factor in his move to the Spanish capital.
