This time last year Damien Sandow was on the verge of becoming a top star in the WWE; with the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase it was thought he would eventually become champion.
The bad news for Damien Sandow was that there were already plans to unify the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship; which we now know as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar is holding right now.
Could have been champion
This plan resulted in Damien Sandow becoming the second superstar to fail his Money in the Bank cash in attempt but nobody would have thought that the incredibly talented and entertaining Damien Sandow would fall down the pecking order as much as he has.
For months now he has transformed himself into other personas and getting squashed, we’ve seen LeBron James, a rapper, Magneto from X-Men and currently playing The Miz’ stunt double as Damien Mizdow amongst many other characters and celebrities; something he doesn’t deserve to be doing.
However it looks as if a change is coming for Damien Sandow; on his Sandow 60 segment which has been taking place on the WWE App, he revealed something intriguing which you can watch in the video below.
He was using a deck of cards to explain the structure of the WWE, where he claimed that in the WWE there are Kings, there are Queens, Jacks – and Jackasses – and that there is the joker.
He mentions that the joker usually represents the jester, the character that is there simply to entertain the fans and that if we look carefully, the image of the joker is positioned in the middle of the card.
What does this mean? It means he is admitting the fact that he is the joker, the comedy character in the WWE right now and is in a mid-card role and is only allowed to play this comedic role to entertain us fans.

It doesn’t end there, he then proceeded to fiddle with his right sleeve before pulling out an Ace from under his sleeve, hinting that something could be changing very soon. The obvious would be that Sandow is letting the fans know he won’t be playing a comedy role any longer or that he won’t be a mid-card level superstar any more, which – if true – is fantastic news as he is genuinely one of the best on the microphone and one of the most charismatic superstars on the roster today, his talent is being wasted.
He also took to his Twitter account to continue teasing the WWE Universe, tweeting; “Watch and pay attention to this weeks #Sandow60. Mark my words, I meant what I said. Patience is a virtue. You will never see it coming.”
However, he followed this tweet up with another, playing down the fact he posted anything cryptic. “So I made “cryptic” comments? Wow, somebody on the stooge sheets needs to learn the definition of a word before it is used. #stayinschool”
There were rumours which started at the beginning of his comedy role that there would be a push for Damien Sandow in the future and it could be starting very soon, whether it is the main event push which looked promising at one stage remains to be seen.
Could it be a United States or Intercontinental Championship title push? Or even better, a main push? Or is he simply teasing with the WWE Universe and his cryptic comments will result in another underwhelming character change? Only time will tell.
WWE fans – what do you think? Will Damien Sandow get a push in the near future or is he destined to stick to a comedy role? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
