Most fans will agree that Chelsea had a pretty impressive transfer window - however it seems as though not all of their transfers were a hit.
According new research released by the Football Observatory, the Blues overpaid for Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis. The Brazilian cost around £15 million which is seemingly too much if the new report is anything to go by.
However the same report claims the under-paid for Loic Remy, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, and got more money for selling David Luiz to PSG than they should have, so it's not all bad.
Indeed their move for Costa is rated as one of the best moves of the window, and Football Observatory say they paid €10 million less than his fair market value. The Spanish international's performances have certainly backed up that claim so far; he's got four goals in just three Premier League games already.
Luis has made just one substitute appearance for Chelsea in the league so far as Cesar Azpilicueta, has claimed the starting spot for himself.
While Chelsea's transfer dealings received mixed reviews in the Football Observatory report Manchester United came off particularly badly. It claimed that they had overpaid by a whopping €30 million to sign Angel di Maria - by their reckoning the worst deal of the transfer window.
Chelsea news round
Elsewhere in the aftermath of the transfer window, Fernando Torres has claimed that he knew that he had to leave Chelsea as soon as Diego Costa arrived.
The Spaniard has joined AC Milan on a two-year long loan deal that covers the final years of his contract at Stamford Bridge. He was third-choice striker behind Costa and Didier Drogba - and the Spaniard says he knew the writing was on the wall when the Spaniard signed on the dotted line.
He said: "Obviously I could see what the season at Chelsea was going to be. They signed a striker that was expecting to play and I need to have this feeling of being important,” said Torres at his unveiling in Italy.
"I want to thank my two English clubs, Liverpool for bringing me to the Premier League and Chelsea for the trophies I won."
Cesar Azpilicueta has penned a new contract with Chelsea. The Spanish right-back, who joined the club from Marseille for around £6.5 million, is currently the first choice left-back.
