Richard Sherman is not a normal cornerback. He's out of the Deion Sanders mould. Loud, cocky and brash.
The Seattle Seahawks' defender's NFC Championship Game post-match rant aimed at 49ers' Michael Crabtree in January displayed that for all to see.
But every now and then, the loud mouth players get shut up and given a taste of their own medicine.
That is exactly what happened in the lead up to Seattle's NFL opener against the Green Bay Packers, with Indianapolis Colts' wideout T.Y. Hilton the man to finally put one over on Sherman.
So how did Hilton playfully get one over on Sherman? Well, just like Sherman did by signing a fans photo of his epic NFC Championship Game play with the words "sorry Crabtree," Hilton did the same, but with the words "sorry Sherman" and a picture of Hilton dominating Sherman in the 2013 NFL season.
The outspoken Sherman is one of the best cornerbacks in the league, but last October, Hilton well and truly got the better of him. And you can see the picture on THIS LINK, accompanied by the cheeky Hilton signature.
"Probably my new favorite autograph. Thanks @TYHilton13 and @CollectorsDen1! Sorry @RSherman_25," fan Alex Rohr tweeted.
T.Y. Hilton will be hoping that his play on the field in 2014 is as good as his banter.
During the 2013 regular season, Hilton showed promise for the Colts, but it was during the post-season that he made a name for himself with 224 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the Colts miraculous 45-44 playoff comeback against Indianapolis Colts.
It will be interesting to see how he goes during the 2014 NFL season, and who knows, maybe he and Sherman will meet in Super Bowl 49 next February.
