Nikki and Brie Bella currently have the women's division on lock-down as the two sisters seem to be dishing the dirt on their lives and growing up with each other.
As well as that, it seems the divas championship is about to be defended at Night of Champions in a fatal four way match that will see Nikki face Brie, former champion AJ Lee and current champion Paige.
No doubt the two have stepped up their game over recent months to be able to step in the ring with veteran's like Paige and AJ, and Nikki spoke to Sports Illustrated about how she has changed the way she approaches her workouts.
“Lifting is what’s made me stronger and made me look better. Not only does it burn fat amazingly—and I think it’s really honed my body—it’s also given me the strength in the ring to lift girls up. I can literally lift anything on my shoulders. I know I could even get my own man up on my shoulders.”
Nikki unveiled her new finisher Rack Attack a few months ago, which sees her lift her opponent over her shoulders before dropping onto her knees and hitting them with a back-breaker. And the former Divas Champion thinks this is one of the most powerful divas finishers in WWE today.
“It’s one of the most powerful Divas finishers out there. Once you’re in it, there’s no way to get out of it. It was a love at first sight. When a move meets [a wrestler], you just know when it was meant to be. It’s pretty fearless, and I love it.”
She also talked about her change in style as she has started to come away from the way her sister dresses and lately has began to show her tomboy side.
“I’ve always been a tomboy. I love hanging out with people who want to watch sports. Growing up, all I wanted to do was arm-wrestle boys. But I have this girly side, too, because I love fashion and want to get my makeup done. So many times, people say to me, ‘You’re not a wrestler—look at you!’ But looks can be deceiving.”
Of course it was well documented on Total Divas that Nikki has a metal rod in her shin and even though she took 12 weeks last year to allow her recent stress fracture to heal, she is still aware of the injury.
“I still have a rod in my shin from a broken bone I got playing soccer when I was 18. To this day, there are times when I feel that rod banging up in my knee or starting to throb.”
All about the show
Regardless of this she is looking forward to facing her sister Brie, after the two have grown up together, learned to wrestler together they are set to put on a good show.
“It’s a total male fantasy, but it’s been fun. I couldn’t imagine my career without her. The one thing that’s so magical about being a WWE Diva is the that you get to travel the world, and what’s even better is that I’ve had my sister by side. There’s so much fun and laughter.”
The two look set to headline the divas division with this feud until the end of Total Divas after it was made public knowledge that the producers of the hit E! show asked for the feud to happen. So for the next few months at least, it seems it's an all out Bella war.
