In recent weeks, the only reminder we have had of Daniel Bryan in WWE is through other Superstars using his iconic 'Yes!' chant in unison with the crowd.
This mimicking or general use of Bryan's word, though, is simply not enough to satisfy the needs of the WWE Universe. The industry is suffering greatly without him and no other wrestler has been able to replicate the connection he has with the fans during his time off.
Reasons for his absence
D Bry has already undergone surgery on his neck which put him out of action for several months, but more recently it was the loss of strength and restricted movement in his arm that was cause for concern.
Bryan's wife Brie Bella has however stated that the leader of the Yes Movement will not require a second surgery on his arm and that he is currently undergoing rehabilitation to regain the feeling lost in his limb.
The news which Brie recently gave only re-emphasised the huge number of WWE fans that are urging Bryan to a speedy recovery and wishing him well.
The announcement has caused speculation surrounding Bryan's return to spread enormously, with many hoping one less surgery could mean a quicker return for the legendary superstar.
If no other problems arise and Bryan continues to do well with the rehabilitation of his arm, a possible return would be around three months from now.
With this in mind, the most likely and most exciting appearance date for his return would be at the Royal Rumble at the end of January next year. Just the thought of the crowd's reaction if his music were to blast out of the speakers as he entered is an incredible feeling.
The much-loved superstar is just that because of his journey to get to the top of the company. Even when he did so by becoming the WWE world heavyweight champion at SummerSlam in 2013, members of The Authority were quick to stand in his way soon after.
His injuries are merely another obstacle in his enviable WWE journey. But in truth, wherever and whenever the 33-year-old returns to WWE, it is guaranteed that the majority of the WWE Universe will be pointing to the sky and chanting in celebration.
