WWE: John Cena takes a shot at The Undertaker

Published 5 Comments

John Cena was absolutely destroyed by Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. The former UFC fighter Lesnar won the WWE Championship with a physical beatdown of Cena that looked brutal even though we all knew it was scripted.

That wasn't Lesnar's first big win of the year. Way back at WrestleMania 30 in April, the 'Beast Incarnate' managed to break the Undertaker's streak and leave the deadman 21-1 on the grandest stage of them all.

Taker actually got pretty badly beat up in that fight, suffering a severe concussion as well as damage to his body. The 49-year old has not been seen back in a wrestling ring since because of the injuries received.

And it seems like on Monday Night Raw last night, Cena actually took a shot at Undertaker for not coming back.

No ComeBack

Cena was talking about facing Lesnar again just a month after being dominated at SummerSlam, and he mentioned how Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX and six months later no one has heard from the "Dead Man."

Cena then added that Lesnar beat him at SummerSlam and he came back the next week ready to fight. Many fans saw this as a dig at The Undertaker as Cena basically said that 'Taker lost to Lesnar and fell off the face of the earth while Cena proved how tough he was by coming back to battle Lesnar right after being dominated.

Fan Backlash

The Undertaker was then trending on Twitter after the segment, with many fans believing that Cena essentially buried him on live television.

Cena isn't the most popular wrestler with fans as it is, but saying something like this about a guy the WWE universe loves is a sure fire way to get yourself more boos and jeers from a crowd.
