WWE Star Dean Ambrose is set for his return

The WWE's craziest superstar, the man known as the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose could be set to return to the ring before the end of the month.

The last time we saw Ambrose, he had just come off the back of losing arguably the best lumberjack match in history to Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

The night after SummerSlam Rollins and Ambrose were set to lock horns again for the final time in a falls count anywhere match.

The match itself was the main event and it was a worthy conclusion to the show as the two men put on a great show.

But towards the end of the contest, things turned and as the Demon Kane emerged at ringside, Ambrose's fate began to look bleak.

That was the last time that anyone saw Ambrose on WWE TV but since then, Rollins and Kane have hosted a eulogy for the Lunatic Fringe.

Not only that, but they have tried to repeat the same move to Ambrose and Rollins former Shield brother, Roman Reigns.

Many people are wondering where Ambrose is and what damage was done to him by the cinder blocks that night.

But to those with knowledge of the workings of the company, they know he has been gone while filming WWE Studios Lockdown.

But filming is scheduled to be drawing to a close on the weekend of the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View.

So could Ambrose be coming back at the event?

Well he has been confirmed for the September 22nd episode of RAW in Memphis but he was also advertised by the Bridgestone Arena - the site of Night of Champions.

He has since been removed from the adverts at the arena so his appearance at the Pay-Per-View may be questionable.

What if?

Ever since the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View where Seth Rollins emerged victorious, Ambrose promised that he would haunt Rollins and thwart any attempt he made to cash in his briefcase.

So my question is, what if?

What if John Cena beats Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions?

What if as a result of the harsh battle he will surely endure with Lesnar, Rollins picks this time to emerge with his briefcase and cash it in?

What if, Ambrose picks this time to come back and continue to fulfil his promise and the WWE universe gets one of their favourite superstars back?

It's just a theory and it looks quite unrealistic but in the WWE can we ever rule any eventuality out?
