Wales superstar Gareth Bale sent the travelling fans into delirium with his stunning second-half free-kick in Andorra.

The Real Madrid winger had already pulled his side level in the first-half after falling behind to a penalty, and then secured the win with a sublime set-piece from 25 yards.

Stand and deliver

His 81st minute effort was too much for some supporters, who jumped over one set of advertising hoardings and then smashed another set as they celebrated what could be a crucial strike in the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Ildefons Lima’s penalty on six minutes had set the hosts up for a shock result, and it was the first goal Andorra had scored since 2010. However, Bale’s header from a deep Ben Davies pulled the Red Dragon level.

That didn’t stop fans booing Chris Coleman’s side off the pitch at half-time, and but for Bale’s intervention in the closing stages the jeers would have been louder at the game’s conclusion.

Make them pay

The former Tottenham Hotspur star was able to retake the winner after encroachment on his initial effort - a correct decision from the referee - and he made Andorra pay with his winner.

Bosnia, seen as the rival to Wales in their battle for qualification, lost at home to Cyprus on the night, meaning qualification becomes even more realistic ahead of their meeting on October 10th.

Belgium remain favourites to win the group and make it to France in two years time, and they begin their campaign at home to Andorra next month.
