Paul Scholes has insisted that Radamel Falcao's knee problem is the only issue Manchester United face with their new signing, reports the Daily Star.
The forward, who joined the Red Devils on loan from French outfit Monaco on transfer deadline day, underwent surgery on his left knee last season, which forced him to miss this past summer's World Cup in Brazil.
But, Scholes has insisted that with Falcao and ex-Real Madrid ace Angel di Maria at Old Trafford, the club will score a number of goals throughout the campaign.
Speaking about Falcao, the former Manchester United midfielder said: "You just hope his knee is right, I think that will be the main problem.
"But once he gets going and [Angel] Di Maria can start creating chances for him then I'm sure we will start scoring goals."
Scholes has also insisted that Di Maria should play out wide for the Red Devils, as the club look to utilise his pace down the flanks.
He continued by saying: "I would like to see Di Maria play wide. Whether [Louis] van Gaal is going to play with wide players, I'm not too sure, but we saw the other night that he was devastating for Argentina against Germany in wide areas. Whether it is the right or left-hand side, his pace is frightening.
“He can go past players and score goals. That is something we have been missing. I am sure he can play in the central areas as well, but if I was picking him then it would be in the wide areas.
"Falcao’s goalscoring record is brilliant from when he has been at Porto and Atletico Madrid. The goals he has scored have been important, then there is the movement he brings and his experience as well at 28 years of age."
Manchester United fans will be hoping to see Falcao make his debut for the club against Premier League new-boys QPR this weekend. The forward could be joined by the likes of Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo in the side, as United look to secure their first win of the season.
Argentine ace Angel di Maria could make his home debut for the club, whilst Ander Herrera will be hoping to feature after returning from injury.
It remains to be seen as to which forward stars will get the nod from Van Gaal, with an array of attacking talent at Old Trafford. The likes of Falcao, Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Di Maria, Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and Co. will all be hoping to feature against the Hoops.
After looking extremely vulnerable at the back in recent time, United fans will be hoping to see the likes of Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw excel in the coming weeks, whilst Brazilian defender Rafael da Silva is closing in on a return to first team action.
United fans will be hoping that their season really gets going this weekend, with former red Rio Ferdinand looking to spoil the party at the Theatre of Dreams.
