The final preparations are being made to the recently renovated course and the US Open Champion Michelle Wie has found it in fantastic condition.

Michelle Wie: "You know I’m just really impressed with the conditions this year. The greens are rolling perfectly. I’ve just been hearing about the trouble they have with the weather. They were telling me about how much rain they got over the summer and it just shows how dedicated the golf course staff is and how unbelievable they are just to get their golf course ready. They changed the golf course last year. It’s been a short year with bad weather and it’s absolutely unbelievable how great the golf course is playing."

Winner of the LPGA Championship and previous winner here at Evian, Inbee Park feels very much at home here in the mountains:

Inbee Park: "This is a very challenging golf course and obviously the golf course is a very hilly golf course which we used to play as a young kid in Korea. They built this golf course in the mountains – that’s what they do in Korea. So it’s kind of a little bit of a similar golf course to Korea Japan styles. SO I think it really suits Asian players on this golf course and obviously they did a lot of changes to become a major championship and a few of the holes are much better now and a little bit longer. Those greens are very undulated and you’ve really got to know where to land your ball."

Over to the final leg of the FedExCup playoffs, The Tour Championship in Atlanta now, where Bubba Watson has been speaking about motivation coming in the form of the huge prize on offer to the winner:

Bubba Watson: "You know I’m getting older but I feel fine. We all get energised when we get to this tournament. We get energised trying to take home $9million. That energises you. I don’t know if you’ve ever had that chance. SO I think I‘d be energised if I win it! But it is a tough stretch but we’re all athletes here aren’t we?"

That’s all for today but you can join us tomorrow for more on the Evian Championship. In the meantime you can find us at and we’re on Facebook, twitter and Instagram.
