Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao could earn up to £2.4 million in bonuses at Old Trafford this season, reports the Express.

It's been suggested that the Colombian hitman - who joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan deal from French outfit Monaco on transfer deadline day - is earning as much as £210,000-a-week after tax at the Theatre of Dreams.

The targets set for Falcao are seemingly unknown, but Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will certainly be hoping the forward brings goals to his struggling squad. The Red Devils have endured a nightmare start to the Premier League season after failing to win their opening three games, securing just two points.

And, with United in action against new-boys QPR this weekend, fans of the Red Devils will be hoping that Falcao finds his best form immediately. It remains to be seen as to whether Falcao will get a starting berth against the Hoops, but United fans will be desperate to see their new star feature on Sunday.

Falcao could be joined by a number of other debutants in the Manchester United side this weekend. It's expected that teenager Luke Shaw will play at left wing-back ahead of Ashley Young. The ex-Southampton defender has struggled with injury since pre-season and will be desperate to make up for lost time.

Argentine ace Marcos Rojo could also slot into United's back-line after work permit issues held up his debut for the club. Versatile Dutch star Daley Blind, meanwhile, could play in central-midfield following his deadline day move from Ajax. Angel di Maria - who made his first start for the club against Burnley before the international break - looks set to play in front of the Old Trafford crowd for the first time in the red shirt of Manchester United.

It remains to be seen as to whether Van Gaal will stick with the 3-5-2 formation that he's implemented at Old Trafford so far, or whether he will revert to a 4-3-3 system. It's certainly exciting times at Old Trafford and United fans will be hoping the club begin a fine run of form - starting this weekend.
