Louis van Gaal splashed more than £150 million on six new signings at Old Trafford this summer, but that initial outlay is merely scratching the surface of the total cost to Manchester United.
According to talkSPORT, the new Red Devils boss' business will amount to almost £300 million when you take into account each individual's transfer fee, annual wage and total length of contract.
That mouthwatering figure would inflate even further should any player earn themselves a pay-rise, and doesn't even consider the additional £43.5 million that Manchester United must pay at the end of Radamel Falcao's season-long loan spell, should they want to sign the AS Monaco striker permanently.
The Colombian marksman's approximate wages of £265,000-a-week would significantly bump up his personal running costs further, something that will surely be taken into consideration by Red Devils chiefs next summer.
