Kevin Strootman wants Manchester United move

Dutch star Kevin Strootman is ready to join Manchester United in the January transfer window after finding out about the club's plans to offer him £100k-a-week wages. 

This has been reported by, who have suggested that the Red Devils are confident of completing the deal for Louis van Gaal's No.1 target.

It appears, then, that United believe they will snap up the Dutchman, despite Roma insisting that he's not for sale. The same report from has in fact suggested that the Red Devils will make a bid of £25 million for the player's services in the winter market. 

United, of course, will be monitoring the Dutchman's fitness over the coming months, as he's been on the sidelines with a serious knee injury for some time. However, Van Gaal's fine relationship with Strootman has made the Roma star his priority target. 

Midfield options 

And, it's no surprise that Manchester United are ready to bring the box-to-box midfielder to the Theatre of Dreams. After all, the Old Trafford outfit have struggled in the middle of the park in recent time, with the likes of Anderson, Marouane Fellaini, Darren Flecther and Co. failing to impress in recent time. 

Van Gaal will be hoping, however, that Spanish ace Ander Herrera plays a key role in the club's success this season, with Daley Blind also expecting to operate in the midfield area. United fans will also be desperate to see Michael Carrick return from injury in the near future.
