Japanese sensation Kenta has finally made his WWE debut on Thursday's episode of NXT and it is certainly one to remember.
Now going under the name of Hideo Itami, everyone has been looking forward to his debut ever since the WWE looked to sign him to a contract.
Everyone may have been prepared for a Itami victory since it was his first match on the show, but I don't think anyone expected it to end the way it did.
He looked good during his match with Justin Gabriel, looking confident and dangerous for most of the match.
He never really looked like he was going to lose in truth but some of the offense displayed by the young man was certainly inventive.
Seemingly useful with his feet, Itami kicked Gabriel to victory throughout the match but perhaps his most impressive manoeuvre came at the end of the match.
As Itami climbed to the top rope, everyone was expecting something special and what happened once he came off the top rope was certainly unique.
A debut soured
Itami got the win but his celebrations were certainly cut short as he was then the victim of a two-on-one ambush.
NXT tag team champions the Ascension came out and attacked the newsest NXT star as a form of revenge for his attack on them at Takeover: Fatal-4-way.
As seen below, these three men do have history from the event where Itami was unveiled to the WWE Universe and his new name was revealed.
Well who knows what will come next for Itami, perhaps he is about to embark in a feud with the longest reigning NXT tag team champions of all time.
It certainly would be a storyline that would introduce him to the NXT fans in a big way and should he prevail in handicap matches, others would start to take note.
He may only have had one match but surely NXT champion Adrian Neville will looking over his shoulder at the Japanese sensation.
